More than A Menu

My goal for this was to create a new and interesting mechanic and turn it into a game.

It was a unique challenge to make a mechanic that was both new and fun. Every time I added to this game it made it a more and more fun experience and that how I knew I was making something I could be proud of.

Watching people playtest the game showed me new ways a player could traverse the level that I hadn't even considered.

Why Chickens?

Full honesty I had no goal in mind for this game. I wanted to make a game and went looking for assets. That's when I found the chickens and decided to make a game with them.

The most challenging part of this game was getting the procedural generation to work. Its a cool concept that I wanted to try out and it worked really well for an arcade style game.

To me this is the most fun game that I've made so far. Its simple and had no plan going in but I love it.

Secret Spaghetti

My goal for this was to make a top-down shooter with UI and pickups.

The biggest challenge of this project was getting the character rigging to work correctly (hence the secret spaghetti).

This is my most put together settings menu by far. Most parts of settings are simple to implement. Audio setting are a complex creature that I've worked with on multiple occasions and am quite proficient in now.

Why Are You Like This?

The goal for this was to create a unique experience. Each of the playable characters represents one of the people on the team and there are lots of 4th wall breaks.

One challenge of this game was learning the Godot engine. I had to learn the language as I worked on the game, So as I made progress I got more familiar with how to use it and found better ways to do things that I had done earlier.

Making this game was particularly fun. Working in a group to make something that we all are proud of is a truly great part of designing video games.
